Magazines for Children and Young Adults

1. Searchasaurus, Kid's Search and Primary Search are three versions of the same database (each version has a different 'face' designed to appeal to a particular age group). All three versions of the database provide FULL TEXT and LEXILE READING LEVELS of magazine articles for children and young adults. They also include some encyclopedia and dictionary articles.

Searchasaurus interface is for young children

Kid's Search is for intermediate, middle and high school grades

Primary Search is a more adult interface but content is same as Searchasaurus and Kid's Search

Special Teacher Resources: ADDED BONUS: Searchasaurus and Kid's Search also include a 'Teacher's Resources' link to other databases for researching professional topics of interest to teachers. Primary Search allows you to access additional teaching resources databases via its 'Choose databases' link.

2.See databases under Contemporary Issues and under News  (and other subjects) on Milne Library's Resources By Subject pages for articles in magazines and other resources that might be written at a level that is appropriate for middle or high school students.
